Who doesn’t love eating candy? There are few people who don’t get excited by the prospect of eating a big bag of sweets to themselves, though in all things, it’s important to do so in moderation.
It’s no secret that excessive amounts of sugar can be detrimental to your health, though that’s not to say that there isn’t any benefit to enjoying yourself and ‘letting go’ now and again.
It is good to be mindful of what we put in our bodies and that of our children. We should always endeavour to find balance where possible, eat plenty of vegetables and fruit, drink as much water as you can stomach and exercise regularly. But somewhere in that ultra-healthy lifestyle of yours, you have to reward yourself now and again some tasty treats!
Hand-Made Candy is King
Look at Candy Kitchen for example; custom made candy is a beautiful way of making your “cheat days” extra special. Let’s say that a friend of yours has been working incredibly hard to diet and get plenty of exercise and they’re really beginning to notice a difference in their physical health. Why not treat them with their very own, personalised candies? Get together, let your hair down and enjoy some of your favourite sweets together.
You could even use them as a little motivational treat. For example, keep some travel candies in your car and say to yourself “after an hour at the gym, I can enjoy a couple of my favourite sweets on the way home”. Again, it’s about moderation and rewarding yourself for your hard work.
To many people make the mistake of cutting everything that they enjoy out of their life. You might drink too much alcohol; but rather than go completely T-Total, wouldn’t it be nice to be able to enjoy a few beers now and again without losing control?
It’s very similar to eating sweets. We’re not saying that you should eat 3 bags a day in order to be happy, we’re simply saying that by finding the right balance, you’ll be much happier, and you’ll enjoy the treats all the more.
Special Occasions
Custom made candy is especially great for different events and special occasions. You shouldn’t eat rubbish every day, but if you’ve got a wedding or a birthday party coming up, invest in some quirky custom-made candies and fill your boots!
They also make wonderful, heartfelt gifts. With everyone being more conscious about what they eat, few people will bother to treat themselves to candy (but secretly want nothing more!) So, personalise a gift for your loved ones and give them their favourite treats! It’s up to them whether they want to share them, be good and eat one a day or smash them all in one sitting whilst watching a movie on the weekend!
