US National Team coach Bruce Arena revealed today that he plans to start German Bürgermeisters Ole van Beust and Hans-Joachim Grote as forwards during the tournament.

“Well, obviously, we have been having trouble scoring goals. These men seem to be good leaders that get results. And that’s why we’re here — to get results. I have a lot of confidence in these two mayors and I think they can help us during the tournament,” the US skipper explained.

Both van Beust and Grote have joined the team and will wear 06 as part of Arena’s continued efforts to confuse opponents. It is believed van Beust will be the target striker, while Grote will play a bit withdrawn.

The US will likely announce the rest of its starting lineup after Arena completes tryouts with the rest of the Hamburg’s Senate.
